Do YOU Have a Community Resistance Plan?
If you aren’t aware of the fact military-run prison camps are a reality in the United States of America and detailed plans for their use have been in existence for over a decade, read up. We’re going to assume our audience has been walking around with their eyes open.
Given the sheer velocity of recent events, it’s a good time to assess ugly possibilities. One of these is a martial law situation, which would lead to the US military attempting to take control over the US. This involves disarming the populace, establishing a strategic position in the community, and tracking down the citizens who have been dubbed potential threats by the Pentagon, Justice Department, or FBI. (Apparently it’s a quite a long list of naughty children.)
This article is a collection of tools for you to assess the situation in your community and make plans for effective resistance with your neighbors and friends. As the great man once said, “An armed and educated populace can be invaded, but never conquered.”

Possibly the most valuable resource in this whole post will be this: A Map of All US Military Bases. Rather than trust the link, here’s a Brainsturbator-hosted backup copy in PDF
Another excellent version of this information is the Military Installation Map at military.com. It’s a searchable map which features a great deal of information about each base. (Since it’s a Java application with a rather large database, we’re not going to back that up locally.)
There are many lists of the US prison camp installations, but they’re all fairly hard to verify --- this list is mostly guesswork, but check on what’s in your area. Definitely verify any suspect prison camp locations for yourself, just drive on over and take a peek. If you see gun-towers, razor wire and lot of train tracks, chance are you’re dealing with a genuine campsite.
Also take the time to read the Miltary’s own protocol for this situation:
Army Regulation 210-35 Civilian Inmate Labor Program
Shaping the Community Plan
If you don’t know where to begin, again, look to the military. If you haven’t already seen the Brainsturbator Library’s military bookshelf, then check those titles out to get your head grounded. We especially recommend “Logistics: Planning, Factors, and Data Management”
The US Geographic Survey has an office in your area, and they have maps of your area. Also check out their online map library, save yourself some money and time. Of specific value for this project is their topographical maps, which give you a much more vivid sense of the best strategic positions in your area.
You will find that in the course of this project you begin to look at your environment in a radically different way. We are conditioned from birth to accept, unconsciously and completely, the notion of property. Once you begin to really assess your community from a tactical defense point of view, you might find you now view your community as something you own. You begin to notice things like hydroelectric dams, chained-up interstate offramps, good alleyway routes and fire escapes, concrete buildings --- all the invisible background which is meaningless in daily life takes on a new utility.
Here is a radical thought that many truth seekers and revolutionaries seem to have forgotten: you have neighbors. While those neighbors may not agree with you on 9/11, George W. Bush, or the precise location of your property line, you will both need each other in an emergency. If you’re forming a community resistance plan, one of the most essential steps is seeking help, feedback and advice from the community. Reach out, you will be amazed what a difference it makes.
And Remember...
Don’t get too Swiss Family Robinson, here. We are talking about community defense against the United States Miltary, currently the most powerful fighting force on the entire planet. The odds are not exactly in your favor here, so any thought of a conventional armed confrontation is profoundly motherf***ing stupid. Don’t romanticize action movies --- make rational plans for survival.
This will involve lateral thinking on your part. You need to consider angles that a conventional military planner would not.
Martial law would appear to be a situation in which 60’s style tactics would work brilliantly. After all, this is hardly a military conflict, this is American soldiers being told to round up and imprison Americans, to patrol Main Streets with loaded weapons. Your best bet is to appeal to the humanity of those soldiers --- thinking in terms of “enemies” is a dangerous waste of time.
Make it a point to find out who would be in charge of the “Militarization” of your area, and go talk to them now. Call their office, make an appointment, and ask them frankly about this possibility and what their plans are. (Worst case scenario, you wind up at Gitmo a little early. Word on the street is, the food’s actually pretty good.)

@chaoflux Nah, IRC is too L33T for me. Plus I never found a client for firefox that was any good.
@chris23 Yeah, we'd drop Campfire if secured, private internal twitter groups W/pic sharing happened. Easier, and probably cheaper, too.

So relax and focus on generating new ideas instead of "understanding" old ones. Synthesis and novelty are more important, especially now.

Statewide “neighbor” programs must be implemented. Say the most compassion and influencial people from jiggy are rounded up and silenced. Any assistance would be appreciated. If (when) the worst should happen, how will people know that others are not being detained? Bloggin? Perhaps. Worth further consideration. Vermont’s rural existence is tactically and strategically wonderful, but logistically a nightmare. Statewide neighbors reinforcing a position. Political or geographical.
That’s the key. That and resistence media.

This was an interesting read, but sounded a little alarmist. In the event that the entire country comes under martial law, remember, these soldiers will be policing communities just like their own. They couldn’t even implement martial law on the inner cities in the 60’s correctly, so, in my opinion: fat chance.

I agree, Jon, I think it’s an impossibility, and I worry that they’d deal with the inner city the same way they dealt with the MOVE organization in Philly, only on a much larger scale.

It’s important not to underestimate the apathy of municipal organizations (and even the cooperation of) when federal agencies come knocking. Simply said, without zeal, better safe than sorry. Civilian labor camps have been built, are operational, and many people have spent a considerable amount of time outlining specific proceedures for their use. It is each persons responsibility to construct a resistence plan. Fact of the matter is a national round-up HAS happened in the not too distant past. Technology used in the public domain in the 30s and 40s was primative in comparison. To fully bite a dead man’s book…

Thanks for the heads-up, I remember seeing that in a pre-911 Alex Jones flick. Glad to be back on the trail of it.

Thanks. I wish I had written this. I’m sad this article isn’t one of the most widely-read pieces on the web.
Yeah, I literally hear that they have good rice pilaf in camp x-ray.
I’m going to do this…

I like this pragmatic approach thirtyseven, its the best policy. I’m from Britain and there doesn’t seem to be much talk of Martial Law coming here. Not that its not a very real danger in my eyes.
All I can add here is the fact that the soldiers you may come up against may not be Americans at all. But NATO and UN troops shipped in from all over the world. Maybe even mercenaries employed by the Federal Government. This is perhaps a logical way of thinking when considering these facts. The Gulf War Syndrome epidemic of the first gulf war and beyond immobilising many peviously able war veterans. The Iraq and Afgahnistan conflicts, the future conflicts in Syria and Iran. Not to mention North Korea and China and perhaps Russia as well. Can the US army stretch this far?
I also hear that the first people the dictator Government will target with kill squads could be ex-elite soldiers with special training. They would be an excellent asset for a community resistance movement.

Blackwater personnel and similar private ‘operators’ will, imho, be the ones most likely used in such a move, if it comes. Little more than self-selecting armed bullies, I saw their kind in New Orleans following Katrina. There’s little hope in appealing to their humanity.

It is definetly time to be thinking about organizing some sort of counter martial law organizations within our communities. However, aside from the weapons, we have to train ourselves in basic survival skills. We should also think about stocking up on survival foods; canned, dried foods, water, batteries, all that stuff. We have to be prepared to leave our homes at any minute.
