FACT: There aren’t enough resources on this planet to sustain continued human growth and increasing quality of life.

FACT: If we want to avoid catastrophic war, suffering, and global shortages of energy, we need to start looking to space seriously for solutions.

Space Based Solar Power is the first step.

I’ll definitely be doing an article on this, and a couple other sweeping and radical concepts for energy design and global grids.  Meanwhile, enjoy the video:

Not sure where the concept originated, but Bob Wilson used to mention this sometimes. Bring it on!

‘Major discovery’ from MIT primed to unleash solar revolution

“In a revolutionary leap that could transform solar power from a marginal, boutique alternative into a mainstream energy source, MIT researchers have overcome a major barrier to large-scale solar power: storing energy for use when the sun doesn’t shine.”

Great timing.

These techno-fixes never take into account synergistic processes—there’s a diminishing rate of return on technology because there’s only 20 years left of freshwater, the Amazon and Congo are being destroyed, and technology is just a front for military spending.
