Whoa! After posting Alan Moore & Eddie Campbell’s excellent The Birth Caul comic last night, this morning Eddie Campbell himself left a comment telling me to remove it.

This book is ‘trill as fuck’. 1920s and 1930s. The guy was a student of Bergson, at first, and the Durkheim, after his defection. He shook the dogmatism in Durkheim and has a nice empirical emphasis. Then he died at Buchenwald. This book is very interesting and sorely neglected. Cop it.
