Mostly on myspace, I got a lot of negative feedback on this one.  Curiously, a lot of people said I was being too one-sided with this article, I’m still scratching my head over that one....the Myth of Objectivity is alive and well.

I noticed the same phenomenon in the comments to your article about dropping out of school. People seem to get very uncomfortable with that concept, probably because they know you are right. Hence the scramble to look for repercussions to that choice that will validate their apprehension or maybe guilt over not having done it themselves.

I myself dropped out of high school years ago for pretty much exactly the reasons you described. Isn’t it cool how disparate people across the world can all come to the same specific conclusions without society encouraging the development of those opinions (except of course in the sense that it is a reaction to society)?

Almost makes it seem like we are on to something, eh? smile

I did not finish the article, because I am hungry, but I thought it should be noted, to readers, that there is a movie out which kind of makes serious satire of these ideas.. serious because I don’t think it was supposed to be entertainment, though our culture largely accepts it as such:

ok… to food.. peace!
