Saving the World with Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations
If you are interested in improving the world that you live in, I literally beg you to take this article into consideration. I am not making an original point here. I am repeating a very nescessary and important point. The tools of social control have been decentralized, due to the rampant spread of information technology.
I know hundreds, if not thousands, of good people who have a lot to offer and a lot to teach. Nearly all of them hold the worlds of marketing, advertising, and public relations in total contempt. They view it—rightfully so, I might add—as the modern equivalent of black magic, cheap tricks and malicious manipulation. I am arguing that the only way that will ever be changed is if we get involved with that culture and do it better than the human turds who are currently running that particular circus.
I am not going to argue that I’m right. I’m just going to lay out the tools that are at your disposal, every second of every day, and urge you to start exploring them and using them to get your message out to the world. Becuase if you’re reading this, I have to assume you have something more signifigant and positive to say than “DRINK SPRITE” or “SUPPORT THE TROOPS”.
Are you interested? Let’s begin.
My Basic Point
There is no longer any reason to merely complain about media manipulation and mass mind control, because all of the tools used in the social control system are now accessable to you. I say that with total confidence because you are reading this—that means you’ve got an internet connection. For less than $20, you can have incredible success in getting your message out to literally hundreds of thousands of people, thanks to the internet. By learning how to set up your website effectively, you can let search engines bring people to your message. By using the Google AdSense tool, you can get your projects to pay for themselves. By using the Google AdWords tool, you can get even more traffic, and learn how to pitch your messages perfectly to people with virtually non-existent attention spans.
Ask yourself how you honestly expect the people around you to “wake up” if you’re not actively helping them. If you are willing to commit the next 20 minutes of your life, I will give you all of the tools nescessary to do this. Where you take it from there is up to you.
The Game Done Changed
When Edward Bernays was engineering social changes on behalf of his obscenely wealthy clients, he had a nearly total monopoly on the tools and techniques of Propaganda, or as it’s known today, “Public Relations.” That’s because it cost a lot of money to pull off staged events, run a print advertising campaign, and buy off celebrity endorsements. In recent years, a great many authors have discussed Bernays and his legacy, and nearly all of them make comments about how Bernays would be drooling over the tools that would have been at his disposal in 2007.
Personally, I think Bernays would be shitting bricks.
I say that because Bernays was a lot like Clotaire Rapaille, who we have recently covered. In other words, he was a con man, who not only manipulated the mass population, but more importantly, decieved his clients into thinking that he had insights and powers that he didn’t. Today, Rapaille invokes Jungian Archetypes and bastardized neurology to convince his wealthy, powerful and gullible clients that he’s got the Inside Scoop on the Global Brain. Back in the 1920s, Bernays was invoking Freud.
Why do the major advertising companies keep their formulas and methods secret? Because their formulas and methods are bullshit. If you’re interested in learning the simple, three-part formula that every major and minor ad house uses, read Ben Mack’s outstanding book Think Two Products Ahead, which re-tools the “proprietary technology” of big corporations for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs.
The vast majority of the people working the Persuasion Industry are lizard-brain primates too obsessed with mere money to understand the scope of their own power. This is the single biggest reason I want to pass these tools to you, and why I would ask you to pass these tools on to your friends. We can do this better. Not only that, we can use this for a better cause.
Accurate Information Kills Bullshit Dead
One reason that major advertising and public relations firms have gotten away with this deception for so long is that getting ahold of real data feedback was extremely hard, and often impossible. In other words, it was a priesthood. When a priest speaks for God, you and I have no way of independently verifying wether or not he’s being honest with us.
When the account executive from the ad firms assures the CEO that their new campaign for Sprite has been getting incredible market penetration in the key target demographics, the CEO has no way to verify that—at least, not until the sales figures come in over the course of the next year. If sales continue to drop in the face of an ongoing ad campaign, then odds are the CEO will either order a new campaign, or move on to another advertising firm. This is similar to people becoming disillusioned with the Catholic Church, and moving on to an equally bullshit form of Protestant Faith. (Or worse yet, Scientology.)
Here’s the secret to a successful ad campaign: put ads on TV, and put ads in magazines. Keep doing that until sales go up. How’s that for a dirty secret? Getting people to buy your product is just a matter of making your product consistently visible. 90% of the creative work that’s being done by major ad firms is highly expensive bullshit, a smoke and mirror routine to maintain the illusion of innovation.
Google has changed that, radically and perhaps totally. Are you familiar with Google’s AdWords program? It allows you to target your advertisements to specific keyword searches. It allows you to target specific geographical areas, even. Most important of all, it offers this service to everyone, regardless of budget. You get to set the maximum amount you’re willing to pay each month, so if you’ve only got $10 to spare, you can still get a targeted ad campaign for your website.
You also get to harvest the data. You get to find out, every single day, if your strategy is working or not. You get to find out precisely how well your strategies are working that day. I am currently in the process of teaching myself how to program the Global Brain. This is not something any college on Earth can offer me, and I’m doing it for less than the cost of a single class at Harvard. Not one single course for a semester, I mean one single class. I have as many teachers and mentors as I want, and I’m not obligated to a single one of them—when they’re no longer useful, I no longer pay attention to them.
Like Feeding Steak to a Baby
Two of the humans who had the biggest influence on my life are Timothy Leary and Buckminster Fuller. They were both brilliant visionaries who are full of concepts essential to the further evolution of the human race and resolution of the world problems we all face, and neither one of them could write clearly and accessably. It takes genuine work to understand what they’re saying. I personally have found it positively life-changing to put in the time to understand these two thinkers. But I also know—all too well—that the vast majority of humans will never make that commitment.
So then it falls upon me—and you, if you happen to agree with me—to take the valuable, important concepts of Leary and Fuller and translate them into a more digestable, understandable format for those other humans.
Take a look at Bruce Eisner’s perfect website, Intelligence Increase. There’s not a lot of content, but every word is a gem. That site stands as a single, simple monument to one of Leary’s best concepts. People doing searches on “how to get smarter” will wind up visiting that site and genuinely benefitting from the information there. Most of the people who come across that site will only know Leary as “that crazy LSD guy,” and that’s fine. Because the site still works, it still communicates it’s message. It is focused and conscise.
The site opens with some great advice, words I have written down in countless journals and emailed to a thousand people, words I have lived by for over a decade now:
1. Continually expand the scope, source, intensity of the information you receive. 2. Constantly revise your reality maps, and seek new metaphors about the future to understand what’s happening now. 3. Develop external networks for increasing intelligence. In particular, spend all your time with people as smart or smarter than you.
Why You Should Care
Ignore the money. Forget the marketing. This is science.
The money is great, on one hand, because you can trade in digital money for actual, paper money which can buy food, water and beer. That’s not relevant to the science, though, and that’s actually not why this topic should interest you.
The money is also great because it offers you highly accurate feedback data in real time. If that sounds trite, consider this: in the field of political science, people like Leo Strauss and Francis Fukayama are allowed to publish entire books of their mere opinions, and they are considered giants in their field. Nobody found out until years down the line, after their opinions were used as the basis of actual legislation and foriegn policy decisions, that they were in fact disasterously wrong.
That’s because in far too many academic disciplines, there is no mechanism to test the connection between academic theories and the real world. People are allowed to make unfounded guesses, and if those guesses “seem right” to enough people, consensus is achieved and it takes decades for someone to sucessfully introduce new ideas.
Learn Thyself
One hidden benefit of becoming an entrepreneur that nobody told me about: it’s like a free psychoanalysis session every day. My theories are constantly tested and refined based on incoming data, and I am completely surprised far more often than I am vaguely right.
When I make decisions and guesses, most of my reasoning is invisible to me. Do you feel that way about your own thinking? I mean that most of the assumptions that I make, most of the beliefs that shape my theories...I don’t even consciously realize they exist. By nescessity, since I cannot reconsider my entire life experience every time I make a decision, I operate on basic assumptions, and as I get older and learn more, I wind up with more and more hidden programming.
This might also be true for you, but it would be reckless to speculate.
The advantage of being verifiably wrong on a regular basis is that I’m being forced to examine the reasons why I’m making the wrong decisions. I’ve definitely found some interesting programming in this head of mine.
Get Started Right Now

I try to write minimally, but as Yoda teaches us, “trying” is merely a form of failure. Thank you for indulging me. Here is the treasure:
1. Get a Domain.
This is the first step, but think on it. Getting the right domain name is key, because that’s the foundation of everything else you’re going to build. You would think that all the good domains were taken back in 1997, but believe me, you’d be wrong. I was f***ing flabbergasted that skilluminati.com was available, and I’ve had a number of people asking to buy it since. The fact is, most of the domains have been bought by businesses and by “URL speculators,” who are parasite scum without a shred of imagination. This means there’s a lot of great real estate still open for someone as creative and intelligent as you. You can start over at GoDaddy, which lets you search for potential domains and tells you, instantly, wether or not they’re taken.
2. Get Set Up.
I’ll make this easy for you, too: just get a good CSS template and plug your content into it. Here’s two excellent resources for exactly that: CSS Tinderbox and Twentythree’s Templates. (I used one of Twentythree’s templates to set up the Wombaticus Rex website, since we’re both weirdos who use numbers for a name. Thank you.)
3. Learn Your SEO
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimizaiton. To get an idea of what I’m talking about, go to google and do a search for “simple fuck.” I have already posted an article on this process over at Skilluminati Research. Let me know if it was useful.
4. Plug Yourself In.
I have also prepped a Skilluminati info-packet on understanding the digital economy. Computers have radically altered the face of economics, mostly because of the accuracy and volume of data I was discussing earlier. For a great, rapid-fire introduction to all of the tools at your disposal for tracking your own site, check out this SEOmoz collection of every publicly available web statistic known to mankind.

Hitwise—Essential. Overall information on traffic trends on the internet. You’d be amazed by how much information these people give away for free—an invaluable service. Get caught up in the data center, print out the white papers and reports, and keep current with their various blogs.
For a directory—The Directory—of advice on promoting your website and/or blog, look no further than Steve Olson, who maintains a great resource titled “How this blog attracted 100,000 visitors in the first 30 days.” We like Steve, Steve is good people.
Remember Ben Mack? He wrote another amazing book that you might really dig, called Poker Without Cards. Nearly everyone I’ve passed it on to loved it, and it’s a very mind-altering piece of work. He specifically addresses, from a life-positive and free-thinking perspective, the modern day War of the Magicians that’s going on every day, hidden in plain sight.
Ben has also been generous enough to provide some of his most potent and educational material for free, in the following articles:
1. On the viral marketing concept of Social Proof.
2. On the physics law of entrainment as it applies to human culture. Probably one of the most amazing articles I’ve found this year, but perhaps that’s just me.
3. A look at Captology and online persuasion techniques that will provide you with abundant brainfood and, hopefully, inspiration.
And finally, check out Lightspeed Venture Partners, who run an archive of current and valuable resources on what Viral Marketing means here and now in 2007.

In a New Yorker piece about Leary, they have a quote from Marshall McLuhan:
“
The key to your work is advertising. You’re promoting a product. The new and improved accelerated brain. You must use the most current tactics for arousing consumer interest. Associate LSD with all the good things that the brain can produce—beauty, fun, philosophic wonder, religious revelation, increased intelligence, mystical romance. Word of mouth from satisfied consumers will help, but get your rock and roll friends to write jingles about the brain.
Wave reassuringly. Radiate courage. Never complain or appear angry. It’s okay if you come off as flamboyant and eccentric. You’re a professor, after all. But a confident attitude is the best advertisement. You must be known for your smile.
“
Just look at the picture you put up. Not saying his smile was disingenuous.

Ysee- THIS is why I tell people Myspace is a must to get ahead. The same with Google- Hell, I disagree with Google’s personal politics and how they’re in this mutual masturbation with the cia [which is why i always use scroogle as my own type of “statement” against commerce and espionage or political motives or what not coming together in a very oppressive way- oh they have a toolbar and a thing on scroogle.org to search from if you want to cut and paste from it.... anyway im not here to sell anything other than the ability for people to pay attention to me and correct me if im wrong soooo]. The point is if I use some of the Google tools I can totally culturejam it- If Fox had something where you could spread a meme instantly and it picked up on tags then sooner or later if you were say hypothetically a democrat and didnt like it leaning one way- If it had some Adsense type of thing that picked up on “tags” your ideas would just get more and more out in the open and cripple the principles of your opponent [as for my example - im an independent- I believe in not taking sides and being understanding and doing whats the most morally right at the present time- not anything extreme when I say “moral” or uptight by any means- yknow the usual- dont steal my shit, dont do anything sexual to kids or dead people, dont beat me up, if youre an asshole walk away or let me walk away, dont sleep with the women im dating, etc- you know- the usual principles. I just thought I’d mention that because I wanted to let people know that was a hypothetical example outside of what I could relate to and maybe you could or couldnt relate to.]
Anyway there’s a major part you needed to add- I’ll send you this link. It was something I looked at on deoxy from way back.... It’s from Aldous Huxley and the title of it is “The Ultimate Revolution"… a lecture: http://deoxy.org/media/Huxley/The_Ultimate_Revolution . You wanna listen to 17:15 to 23:39 especially on the Realaudio (.ra) file. How does this relate to advertisement of principles and expanding memes and changing the world for the better by the power of the individual tapped to its full potential? There’s that theory of 20% of more easily influenced people. So in social structures if you want your “product"- Like say with the LSD example above.... Or better yet as a safer and more literal example selling “Motherfuckin Coolness” - All these cans full of Motherfuckin Coolness and the Motherfuckin Coolness way of life- I mean for real.... Like if you had a club and you would only have in those filled with Motherfuckin Coolness [Hint- If they’re wearing sunglasses at night they have zero Motherfucking Coolness- Though sometimes it might not be their fault and they might just have to refill their Motherfuckin Coolness]- So hokay here’s this idea, style, way of life, whatever it is that is something you feel is needed in the world and can effect political change and you gotta get this shit out there- Your target audience is that 20%. It’s all about target audience. Start with the 20% and they’ll put more stock in you and there half your workload just fell off. Like I said I’m not selling anything but my favorite ads were always video game ads- Not only because in all my 26 years I’ve been a gamer for around 20 of those years, but also because video-game ads had a sense of humor that was totally on the mark for their audience and parts of the commercials had some idea of what the gameplay is suppossed to be like. I mean they were directed exactly to WHO would be playing the game. The whole point wasn’t like “Hey look at this get some coupons give us all your money"- No there was more about knowing what the customer would really want.... And there was only one ad I saw that committed the worst Sin in game ads of not having any screenshots in action from the game [I didn’t rent it or buy it because I thought that was a giveaway it sucked]. So yeah those are great ads to study if you wanna know how to advertise something political and mindbending and worldchanging to your audience and you wanna know how to get to your audience. I’ve always figured beer ads suck cuz its like “What the fuck does any of the shit on these ads have to do with the product?” Here in San Diego some people who owned The Bitter End bar near where I live openned their freakin swinger hotel thing- I think It’s called the Ivy- Anyway just look up “Bitter End owners hotel” for homework and you’ll find some leads on some info- and the tab is HUGE- There was a post on tribe and a lot of these amenities and even a one nights stay there were way in the thousands BUT this is the point. Hot babes will work there if they will be tipped well by rich guys- The kind of rich guys at the Gaslamp in San Diego who tip a waitress a C-Note just for standing there. Also .... higher pay for a job that either doesnt hire as much for positions or that gets a lower stream of applicants coming in… There you already got some employees set.... Everythings locked. Boom- right there… But the audience- the audience these people would be targetting- Travelling professionals… It was right there in the article- Businessman coming to and from the convention center or travelling around etc- We’ve all seen the type and read about that kind of a demographic. Also not to mention- You got snappy dressed people coming in, more people are coming in… The tab is making people feel special since its so hefty it must be “good”. They’re all hooked up on a good upper-middle-class or more life and noones gotta worry about their health- any of that shit- no homeless crackheads going all travis bickle in that motherfucker. That’s how the formula is LOCKED! And this is not the only place.... There was another Sushi place in L. A. that put food and sex together in not so subtle ways and had like a 12 K tab.... So basically you aim for some kind of demographic of people into the shit with the “sex party” scene or the like and you make bank from uppermiddleclass people in the suburbs in that scene with bank- But you use it for overhead- That’s where it all becomes interconnected- And either way you get your message out there somehow- But I mean then you have the funds to advertise with ease without having to worry or ask.... Remember Timothy Leary’s “ad campaign” in the 90s post-cancer. A good plan- That’s kind of the game plan I’m talking about. And of course you also got a scene with coke with that- As long as people don’t do it out in the open [This is another hypothesis- I’m not saying to do this and you didn’t learn this from me- And I don’t like coke anyway- I don’t take anything that makes me pace.] you get a percentage from travelling brokers and you get more customers to share the wealth in private maybe- But it would have to be offsite if you’d share the wealth. The biggest thing with that is resale.... Resale- If you never had anything to do with yayo before you are even more on the up-and-up because then you got the focus on resale for the lease, the money compensating for previous expenses, other pet projects you can do with your own campaign and so on- Don’t take my word for it but it seems pretty much locked.
Now I realize though- Before it was steel, other tangible resources. That’s the word RESOURCES 50 or 60 years ago that would get the babyboom or pre-babyboom generations foot in the door just after the depression. At least with some people I talked to who got into small businesses from that. In the 90s and the beginning of this century the internet, IT, Communications, all that stuff could get people that are 18, 19 or so at minimum a lower-middle-class lifestyle for life and set in that regard. But now it’s about carnality and people wanting to escape.... However you may want to look at that.... People escaping into their imagination and leisure and pushing the facts away either as a cushion for their mental health, a reaction to the velocity of civilization accelerating like a bullet-train, or a desire to be submissive or to be lied to. A sign of this Rennaissance I had figured out [not the “actual” Rennaissance… but this new revisiting of a previous cycle that will happen again and I’m certain has happenned before by other names that is so familiar and enough to give any hardcore historian a major case of deja vu].... By “Rennassaince” I mean humanity is going back to more run of the mill and more raw roots and rediscoverring things that way- at the same time regressing but at the same time being reborn because the tools for advertising messages, for producing, for Desire and Desire-production are more at the base level and not anymore at a “hyper"-level. Finally things are slowing down… Anyway this is what convinced me… I remember- You remember that one dude on CNN and everywhere they got for eating people? This was a year or two ago. And at the same time I had heard about that I was going through a lot of changes so I was depressed and just thinking with that “What is everything coming to?” I talked to a family friend who- unlike the funny dumbass goof I am [on my good days] goes to college and is a brilliant anthropology student and I said “This shits fucked! These motherfuckers eating motherfuckers! Whats this world coming to?” And I talked about reading some shit in one of my back issues of “Bizarre” about some dude doing some Craigslist type shit and “consensually” eating someone ... because they got off on eating them and the other person I guess really needed to tell someone “Eat me” [I’ll watch my choice of words from now on if anyone cuts me off on the freeway on my way to work hehehehe]. But this anthropology student person was saying “Well there are tribes that have done that- and only really in cases where they had no food- and it was never consensual especially being one of the first taboos.... Hmm maybe it means humanity is getting more aggressive- more primal.... Thanks Mike- I have my thesis now!”
It’s all burlesque man- This administration and shit- It ain’t Tommorrowland or Fantasyland NOPE This is Berlinland for sure! Political hookers… The bastards of society like myself and the others with enough transparency - with enough of a capability to really see ahead dabbling and rejoicing in the marginalized placements of society… Not that I say marginalized as far as alcoves or diners or traps or artificial spaces for false desiring production nor marginalized in the sense of something circumstantial- parts of streets and sidewalks and fields bringing me and every other dirty, narcissistic creature up- Nope I mean a little of both, places intentionally marginalized and marginalized by Zen: ... circumstance.... -And this is the place where there would be revolutionary thought and real raw ideas, real raw ideals, something really “real” coming out of it…
And ysee THAT is what I’m talking about- THAT is what the sexuality and the Desire-production is about - for lack of a better term.... I’m talking Deleuze & Guattari here man… Look up Deleuze & Guattari.... “Antioedipus"- That’s all I’m quoting from in all of this guesswork.... Something against the constraints of the socius, ever mortal, in constant flux, ebbing out the Desire-production. It can be a Revolutionary idea or ideal if you know how to use it. Better yet look up the “Youtube” videos someone put up of William Burroughs “Nike” ads.... Then read William Burroughs if you haven’t already.... If for some reason you have no idea why that should be relevant you will have no idea what any of what I just said fucking was. But then again I kind of don’t....
On a more practical mood- Feeling pissy that ALF and ELF have more of their “advertising” cut out for them. A buddy of mine he said “I’ll bet those are some federales doing their own things fucking over activists that don’t have a lot of experience and getting them to do stupid shit”. Of course unless the ones that the two that the government is paranoid of have to do with the sitcom with the puppet or the little things that have to do with Santa Claus aren’t the ones I’m thinking of these are some pretty hypocritical groups. It sucks that they use some ways to advertise themselves as if they are more into environmentalism than they are or animal rights than they are. It does suck though that, yes it is true, a lot of legitimate groups are oppressed and a lot of times activists have to be really alert. For any of the teenagers that just stumbled on this post though I’ll tell you part of the way to go- If someone’s advertising themselves in a way they don’t reflect with their behavior or mannerisms they might be more untrustworthy. Definitely if someone claims to have a cause and they seem committed to it but they get caught up in gossip or whos who and why are they doing what… Unless you have hardcore proof that their gossip bears any weight it’s a great idea to be completely remote- to not identify too much with it. Things will probably become at the least a bigger waste of time and less fortuitous if you get caught up with unfounded rumors.
Why am I bringing up this last part? Because another awesome conclusion to this article on Brainsturbator is “backing up what you say”. That says it all- And it says you’re a good person. Think critically, think for yourself.... And be responsible to your word- people will see that and then you’ll get ahead a lot more by circumstance. Anyway I’m writing this on 5 hour sleep so please tell me if it makes no sense and if you have any comments, complaints, corrections, or kisses I’d totally dig it cuz now I’m feeling proud of myself....
Peace,
-Mike

New York Times article on Google search engine. I’m not sure how much information is available; Google is deliberately vague.
“
Mr. Singhal has developed a far more elaborate system for ranking pages, which involves more than 200 types of information, or what Google calls “signals.” PageRank is but one signal. Some signals are on Web pages — like words, links, images and so on. Some are drawn from the history of how pages have changed over time. Some signals are data patterns uncovered in the trillions of searches that Google has handled over the years.
“
I wonder if the serendipity of search will go away as Google starts reading our minds even more.

Thanks homes- That will be of truly awesome help. Hah I feel you on the mindreading shit- There was a cartoon like that with the Google start page and it had in boxes “Would you like to search sites loosely? Would you like it search specific? Would you like to see your credit card numbers? Would you like to spy on yourself? Would you like to spy on someone else? Would you like to search your brain?” and so on haha....
Anyway not only am I here to thank you for the further insights but also to mention that is happenning- and not all of it is malicious or like the similar hypocritical intentions of corporate spyware peddlers.... It’s in the coding of html- Of images- and so on- People are making things more search specific with other goals in mind to look at the hypertext as well on a page so someone could be hooked up better with the benefits of Communications technology (like the internet or that Communications technology being the internet). From that perspective it’s kind of cool. They even got digital “watermarking” in the html in some of this shit- or at least some of these tech wranglers claim [look at sourcewatch.com- I’m talking about the .com site- not the one related to investigating sources but a commercial link from a tech consulting firm - as far as if their services really work I do not know since they were really vague in that arena- BUT it’s like someone getting you a beer for your birthday or stopping by your door- It’s the THOUGHT that counts heh… Just the idea of developing some way to copyright or trademark your source code or what not and using certain variations with html or scripts or something from that- I don’t recommend this shit cuz I’ve never used it and won’t until they’re more specific about whats up and build up their puny sourcewarch.com site [There’s not much you can get out of it]].
So yeah the stuff with signals is far out- What worries me is the incestuous relationship between a McCarthyist political mindset and that mingling with commerce....
Oh well- maybe if they took the Oscar away from Kazan years before, Google would think about their consequences of being indistinguishable in the way they use data from doing the whole “cloak and dagger” thing.
If there’s a certain amount of a little bit of data sent around a company or two that have a mailing list that they will certainly forget fine whatever I don’t care. It’s just really nervewracking when the company doesnt distinguish between ordinary people like me or- well whoever else doesnt have a cover to keep other than pretending to be “normal” for a 9-5 job or whatever- and the kind of people that are really influential or higher up there.
Either way think of it this way- If you’re doing something really lifechanging it could catch up with you- Of course I’d say don’t sell out- Skip town if shit like that happens- If they threaten your family just go to take your kids to different schools change your names and wear em down until they forget or lose hope or do something really impulsive thatll wreck that shit up anyways....
And as far as spooks go typically from enough of the case studies [like some of the ones above] if you get their attention you are doing something RIGHT- so its enough to be proud of [remember a lot of these people act outside of the legislature and peoples rights in the name of “national security"]- me I just write porn I’m not tesla....
but anyway my point is of course there are weak links in these systems of control- these systems of control are based on “rules” no matter what the black mail or the alibis- but if you do not bind your way of thinking to rules which might not exist… well youve seen the matrix right?
If you havent let me explain- It’s all a matter of exploiting these systems WHEN it is important to your agenda [for example some of the shit higher up does direct effect this culture with the leaders involved- especially if too much of the news outlets are owned by people with a less than benevolent or sympathetic agenda]… And one of the best ways to do that is to see beyond the system- I’m talking about “transparency"- using xray vision to your advantage....
Of course correct me if I could be missing something but yeah- Defeatism is totally the biggest conspiracy- About the biggest hustle- Don’t fall for it....

Much thanks for the info. I’ll probably slap some weirdness together soon. I might say, though, I question the very idea of “waking” anybody. This seems to assume that people can be jolted out of their unfortunate imprints through the semantic circuit alone. Personally, I believe (yes, mere opinion) that change is caused by a small group of people while the majority proceed completely oblivious to, and hardly capable of utilizing, the forces that determine the world in which they live.

Hey Eternal Holy Youth,
For more of Thirtyseven’s feelings about “waking people up,” and his stance that people must wake themselves up, check out Wishtank’s interview with him at http://www.wishtank.org/magazine/commons/words_with_wombat_questions_for_quandary/.
I think you’ll find the information he offers us valuable.
peace and love.
