Jose Delgado - One Scary Mother****er, part 1
A look at the life and work of Jose Delgado, the one man brave enough to make the world a better place. That happened to involve surgical implants and electronic control of the entire human population under the watch of scientists and engineers. Even funnier still, he was taken seriously enough to speak before US Congress repeatedly. Well, yeah, so did Mick Foley and James Traficant. But still.
Just getting your attention....
“The individual may think that the most important reality is his own existence, but this is only his personal point of view. This lacks historical perspective. Man does not have the right to develop his own mind. This kind of liberal orientation has great appeal. We must electronically control the brain. Someday armies and generals will be controlled by electric stimulation of the brain.”
The Legend of Jose Delgado
Jose Delgado was by most accounts a monster. His work centered around the electronic control of the brain. To be clear, a lot of people brainsturbator dot com has chosen to profile over the past 8 years are all about control of the brain. Delgado is a lot different from Richard Bandler or Timothy Leary, though, because what he’s advocating is basically him controlling your brain with electronic devices.
These electronic devices were then implanted surgically. “Implanted surgically” is a polite term for “we hacked the dog’s skull open with a saw and cut a passage into it’s brain, then crammed this metal object in there, and now we’re gonna shoot electricity down this wire and see what happens.”
The research began crudely, as Delgado mapped out the correspondences between brain areas and the motor/cognitive facilities they controlled. Early experiments were ugly stuff, like simply shutting monkeys off, or triggering rage in rats, or making animals jerk certain limbs when their brains were hit with charges. Thanks to his work ethic (and access to legally torturable animals), he quickly gained a more sophisticated and targeted control of the animal motor system.
It’s probably not far off to say that if Delgado hadn’t been such a great salesman he would probably be a lot more obscure. He was always eager to demonstrate what he could do, and what he could do was pretty amazing stuff. Delgado put on a hell of a show, but he really topped himself in Madrid, stepping into the ring with an enraged bull who was surgically loaded with one of his implants. He was calm because he had faith in his tech, and he knew he could stop the bull in it’s tracks, via a remote control in his left hand.

Then, come 1972, Jose Delgado abruptly dropped off the map without so much as a skid mark or smear. Depending on who you ask, he was either snatched up by shadowy forces or assassinated for knowing too much. (That’s still a legitimate solution in some circles.) Either way, his research is still hopefully buried somewhere, not spread out on Karl Rove’s desk while he’s on the phone with Rupert Murdoch.
Actually, Jose Delgado still answers his email
Although it would be rude to publish it here. Delgado is still alive, though. He lives in San Diego, California. (Between Elvis and Goebbels, yeah.) He no longer does research because the man is 91 years old. The reason he dropped off the map? He dropped off the map: the man and his wife moved to Spain in 1974 and did not return to the US until recently.
It’s important to note Jose Delgado’s take on his career: he never worked for the CIA. He did do work with the Office of Naval Intelligence.
When you hear the man speak today, he does not come off as the crypto-Fascist whiz kid that 10,000 websites make him out to be. He claims to be a pacifist and insists that he was working towards a better world. (Next time you wake up on the floor somewhere with a pounding headache, reconsider the words that opened up this article. Could you be using your life better?)
By Delgados account, he implanted a little over 25 humans while working in Rhode Island. Remember that the implants were a treatment for mental illness, not a military program to gain total enslavement over the human race. (It can be a subtle distinction these days.)
Considering how demonized he is, it’s worth noting that he’s not only not a crazed lobotomizer, he actually started his research to find an alternative to lobotomies, which he considered barbarically primitive. Delgado was attacked in the 70s by a fellow scientist, psychiatrist Peter Breggin. (Oh wait --- did I just call a psychiatrist a scientist? My bad.) Breggin was, not too shockingly, seriously disturbed by Delgado’s work and especially his statements about human free will and the future of civilization. Then Delgado got sued for implanting a woman without her permission. Depending on how stupid you are, the woman was either the victim of a mind control conspiracy, or just a mentally ill woman looking for attention.
Either way, Delgado was offered a better job in Madrid and it must have felt like a great time to leave the United States. Delgado went to Spain and a legend was born.
So why is there gonna be a part 2?
This hopefully raises a few questions. Most importantly: is that him in the photo above? Yes, and the hot assistant is his wife.
Less importantly, did this actually work? To what extent can our brains be controlled like this? How has the research progressed, and are actual implants still nescessary? Stay tooned.
Disclaimer: not interested in emails about how Delgado is actually Illuminati or CIA or much of anything else. Considering not one person in the conspiracy field could even go look up his published research from 1974 onwards, which was on public record, I’m not much interested in what you folks have to say about this man. Go read something useful.

Ellen Lacter says...
Dear 37, Would you mind providing Jose Delgado’s email address to me? I would like to correspond with him. I do not hold an opinion either way about whether he was involved in MKUltra and the other cold war projects. I tend not to conclude things, but to keep many possibilities open as I continue to consider information. Warmly, Ellen Lacter, Ph.D.
