Beauty, Man….It’s Everywhere
A gallery of nuclear photography --- pretty/scary.
Dr. Harold Edgerton captured some of these photos of nuclear detonations using rapatronic photography to capture the images. His photography is iconic: everyone has seen his shot of a bullet firing through an apple, for instance. It is fitting that Edgerton would be there to document the testing of nuclear weapons: his own work on strobe tech was a quest for the strongest possible flash with the shortest possible duration.
